Istidraj

Muslim believe that when the Creator gives fortunes to someone whereby the Creator is not pleased with him, this is called 'istidraj'. When you see God gives good fortunes to people who are always committing sins, you'll know that the person is being given istidraj.

However, these people who keep on committing sins are clueless. They'll think that they've received the fortunes because God is with them and they feel that God is kind to them in spite of their wrongdoings.

Despite indulging in sins, they feel that God love them. They'll look with disdain at people who practice religion. They will say, "He goes to the temple/churches/mosque every day and night, but he can’t afford to buy even a bicycle, whereas I go the nightclubs driving my expensive car."

"There is no need to practice religion, fortunes will still come like the rains. If he reduces his time praying he would be able to become rich like me," they'll say arrogantly. In reality, sometimes the Creator gives a lot of fortune to someone in order to destroy that person.

There's a saying..."If the Creator intends to finish off a termite, He would give that insect 'wings' and make it flies."

Termites stay quiet under the rocks or crawl beneath the dead leaves while they do not have the wings, but when The Creator wants to end their lives He gives them wings. Then they would turn into winged termites(alate).

When they have acquired the blessings of wings, the winged termites would fly and try to resist the fire. Likewise, when a human acquires good fortunes, they would forget their own origins.

Therefore, be wise and be grateful with what you have today and don't ever, ever look down on others that are not doing as well as you...you won't know what's gonna happen to you tomorrow. In fact you won't even know what's gonna happen to you the very next minute.

Wallahu'alam
