Forced to Break Fast during Ramadhan

"Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief... except for one who is forced while his heart is secure in faith. But those who willingly open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah , and for them is a great punishment."(QS 16:106)

According to Mazhab Shafeii scholars; Qiyas from this verse, anyone that is 'force'(under coercion) to break their fast during the Ramadhan, their fasting in this case would still be valid. While for the sick and traveling person it is allowed for them to breakfast. There is also a hadith that says:

"Allah has forgiven my nation what (offenses) they commit by mistake, forgetfulness, and under coercion." (Narrated by Ibn Majah and Al-Bayhaqi)

Thus, a person who break their fast due to mistake, forgetfulness or under coercion are not be required to make up for the fast day and is forgiven by Almighty Allah SWT.
